Some scenic stuff (lots of the Matterhorn of course).
This is Tig's creation of a team shot, as we didn't have one with all four of us in, Tig made one.
This on the other hand is the original, taken by Tig, with me and Billy out side our Chalet (the Anita on the left). Doc's not in it as he was off skiing, whereas Tig, Billy and I had decided to take a day off and have a look around town, then find a bar to sit in all afternoon and get drunk. Mission successful. ;]
A bit of scenery whilst on our way in to town.
Same view but with Billy and Tig.
For some reason the locals have built a bloody great big ice "thing" in the middle of the river. People seemed to be using to practice their ice climbing technique. We decided to stick to skiing and getting drunk.
Someone shouted "Yeti", so I looked round to see what they we're talking about, as I'm used to being called a sheep in this jacket (living in Wales as I do). I wore this jacket most of the week, including one night when we went to Murphy's bar for a drink the night there was a live band on. As we we're leaving the band stopped playing so that the lead singer could ask me if he could buy the jacket off me. I said no, of course. ;)

Zermatt is full of really old wooden huts, mixed in with the modern houses, chalets and hotels etc. Some of them are somewhat "Picturesque".
You can't go anywhere in Zermatt or out on the slopes skiing without occasionally pausing to take a look at the Matterhorn. As mountain's go, it's pretty bloody impressive. The only problem is that the photo's really don't do it justice.
This was the view from our room window, which opened on to the back lawn.
Billy partaking of a Gluehvine (probably spelt incorrectly) in one of the many mountain restaurants. There's few things better on a ski holiday than being able to stop for a drink or two on the last run down at the end of the day, soaking up the last of the sun and admiring the scenery.
Especially with scenery like this.
Behind e is the Monte Rosa Plateau, an area renowned for it's excellent powder skiing, only accessible via a helicopter.
This is the view from the top of the Kliene Matterhorn, the highest ski area in Europe (3885m). The cable car ride up is a pain in the ass, and the ski down isn't anything special, but the view from the top makes it worth the journey, once at least.
Another shot of the Matterhorn, i seem to have ended up with a lot of these for some reason.
See what I mean.

Last one of the Matterhorn, thought I'd try a different angle for this one. Still a bloody impressive lump of rock though.
